Ordinary Centres
An Ordinary Centre is a branch of the SASMT located in a metro, municipality or region of southern Africa, formed on application by music teachers who qualify for professional membership of the Society.
Requirements for an ordinary centre
- Starting an ordinary centre requires at music teachers, each meeting the requirements for professional/supporting/student membership.
- The centre must have a chairperson, vice-chairperson, secretary and treasurer.
- The centre must elect a committee every year.
- The centre must hold an Annual General Meeting.
- An auditor or qualified accounting officer must prepare annual financial statements to be send to the EO upon request.
